We hope you are well.

We are writing to share with all parents and guardians the Nursery’s Internal Regulations and the General Internal Regulations, both of which have been revised and contain a number of amendments. We consider essential that everyone is aware of these changes before the start of the new academic year, so as to ensure a proper understanding of and compliance with our institution’s rules.

We would like to highlight some of the most significant changes:

• Attendance and assessment periods

Pupils’ attendance, particularly during assessment periods, is of fundamental importance. Consequently, assessments will only be rescheduled upon presentation of a medical statement, which must be submitted within a maximum of three working days.

We consider these sessions to be crucial to successful learning and, in the interests of fairness and equity for all students, the dates previously set for them must be adhered to.

• Assessment criteria

We would also like to draw your attention to the new assessment criteria, which have been revised and to which some changes have been made. It is important that parents and guardians consult these criteria so that they are aware of the principles and procedures that will be in force in the coming academic year.

• School uniform

We would also like to emphasise the importance of strict compliance with the rules regarding school uniforms. Pupils must attend school properly dressed in the appropriate school uniform for each occasion, in accordance with the rules set out in the School Regulations.

• Nursery and Pre-School Timetable

One of the most significant changes concerns the opening hours of the Nursery and Pre-school. From the start of the next academic year, the closing time will be 18h30.

• Meetings with Parents and Guardians and the start of the academic year

Please note that, due to the special arrangements for the National Examinations, it has been necessary to make some adjustments to the start dates for certain Cycles.

We are confident that the primary aim of all these changes is to promote the academic and educational success of our pupils, whilst ensuring standards of equity, organisation and fairness for the entire educational community.

We would also like to take this opportunity to inform you that the School’s management is currently carried out by a Pedagogical Direction, comprising the following members: Daniela Sousa, Filomena Martins, Nancy de Oliveira and Soraia Silva. For any queries that need to be addressed to the management, please contact us via the email address direcao.pedagogica@eitv.pt. We would, however, like to reiterate the importance of ensuring that such contact is made only after all other channels of communication with the various departments and school representatives have been exhausted, whilst respecting the established hierarchy and communication procedures, in order to ensure a prompt, organised and appropriate response to each situation.

We would like to thank you in advance for your trust, cooperation and commitment, which are essential for us to continue working together to build a high-quality educational experience for our pupils.

We wish you all a wonderful holiday, filled with moments of rest and time spent with your families.

Kind Regards,

.
