Anti-Bullying Week

We are delighted to announce that our school will be celebrating Anti-Bullying Week from November 10th to 14th. This important week is a time for our community to come together to promote kindness, respect and empathy, while also seeking to raise awareness of the importance of standing up for and helping others.

Throughout the week, students will participate in various activities.

Mindfulness workshops will be held in several classes, namely for Years 1 to 9 in the Cambridge Curriculum and for students in the 1st Cycle in the National Curriculum, which will help students develop self-awareness and emotional balance.

In the National Curriculum, other activities will also be organised for other stages of education, addressing the issue of bullying and the various forms it can take. Thus, students in the 2nd Cycle, as well as those in Grade 7 and 8, will participate in an activity developed by the Torres Vedras Centre for Arts and Creativity. For Grade 9 and secondary school students, Escola Segura will hold a lecture on the subject. At the same time, the topic will be addressed in the classroom in a manner appropriate to the different age groups.

Also, next Monday, November 10th, at 9h00, Escola Segura will give a presentation for Parents and Guardians. We would very much like you to attend and participate.

In the Cambridge Curriculum (Primary and Secondary), students will explore anti-bullying themes through Art, Theatre, Music and Wellbeing classes. In addition, secondary school students will prepare and give presentations to primary school students, promoting understanding, friendship and inclusion between different school years.

Throughout the week, our school community will also work together to create a large collaborative work of art, which will be displayed next to the island as a lasting symbol of unity and kindness.

We look forward to a week full of reflection, creativity and meaningful connections, reminding us that together we can make a difference!

Best regards,

.
