I am delighted to invite you to the first meeting of our EITV Parent Group this Friday, 26 September, at 9:00am in the Refectory, straight after drop-off.
The most successful schools I have worked in are those where parents are engaged and feel a true sense of belonging. What this looks like can vary from school to school – and I am excited to shape this together with you. Already, parents have shared fantastic ideas, including helping to organise events, mentoring students in their areas of expertise, presenting to students and fellow parents, and celebrating the many communities that make up our school.
Throughout the year, parents will have opportunities to share feedback through surveys and focused conversations with the school and Forfar Education. This parent group is something different – a welcoming space to build our community together, share perspectives, and explore ways for parents to feel involved and connected. It is not a decision-making body, but a forum for ideas and collaboration to help us create an inclusive and vibrant school culture.
To make it easier for as many parents as possible to join, we will vary meeting times each month – sometimes at drop-off, sometimes at pick-up, and occasionally later in the afternoon if that works better for families.
