Now that the academic year has come to an end, I would like to let you know that I will be leaving my role as Head of School at the end of June to take up a new leadership opportunity outside Portugal.
It has been a privilege to lead the school through an important period of transition following its acquisition by Forfar Education.
The school is well positioned for the future under the leadership of a collaborative and forward-looking Pedagogical College comprising Filomena Martins, Daniela Sousa, Nancy Oliveira and Soraia Silva, supported by an exceptional non-teaching team led by Dona Ilda Caseiro and Nelson Ramos, who oversees quality, health and safety. Combined with the relationships established with DGEstE, the successful IGEC inspection completed in April, and the dedication of all our staff, I am confident that the school will continue to flourish.
Together, we have strengthened safeguarding, focused on innovation in teaching and learning, and developed a stable and committed team. I am particularly pleased that only four members of the teaching staff will be leaving this year, ensuring continuity and consistency for our students.
I would also like to thank our families for the trust, encouragement and partnership they have shown throughout this period of transition. Your support has been instrumental in helping us build strong foundations for the future.
It has been a privilege to work with your children and to serve the EITV community. I wish every student, every family and every member of staff continued success and happiness in the years ahead.
