It has been a joy to welcome our youngest learners back to school in Pre-School and Nursery. I hope they have enjoyed the beautiful Departures concept developed by Ms. Daniela Sousa and her team.
This week and next week, we look forward to meeting you at our welcome sessions, where we will introduce the teachers and programmes for the academic year ahead, and answer any questions you may have. Please check the schedule shared on Wednesday for the timings.
As we prepare for the new academic year, we are reviewing the Internal Regulations, updating it into bilingual versions. In addition, the new owners of the school, Forfar Education, are integrating their philosophy of Safety, Happiness, and Excellence in Education, which complements and strengthens the values of EITV. Together, we are committed to developing confident, compassionate, and well-educated young people. In the meantime, please continue to refer to the current Internal Regulations, which remains in force. We will inform you as soon as the updated version replaces the previous one.
We are also finalising our pedagogical leadership structure and ask for your patience while this process is completed. In the first instance, as always, if you have any concerns, please communicate directly with your child’s class teacher (Headteacher) or the Head of Section, whom you will meet at the welcome evening. We will update you on the leadership structure as soon as it is finalised.
I already feel the warmth of the Escola Internacional de Torres Vedras community, and I very much look forward to meeting you at our sessions this and next week, working with you for the benefit of your children and the school, and listening to your ideas.
